About The Position
Safely and efficiently operate assigned transportation equipment in the pick-up and delivery of donated goods and designated items. Adhere to all organizational and DOT policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 1 year experience in a related field required.
- CDL-A required.
- Valid state driver's license, insurance and satisfactory driving record are required.
- The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.
- A minimum of 1 year verifiable accident free CDL-A driving experience required.
- Ability to proficiently drive a manual transmission truck required.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Will consider a combination of education and work experience.
Responsibilities
- Completes pre-trip inspections and notify management team of any equipment issues or concerns.
- Follows all government (DOT) and organizational safety regulations.
- Ensures all required paperwork and updates are communicated to the Dispatcher or designee.
- Safely, accurately and efficiently ensures loads are secure before transport, following all route assignments and all items are delivered to the correct destination.
- Must be able to work independently without the need for close, direct supervision.
- Exercises good judgement in behaviors and communication, providing outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
