About The Position

This is an entry-level opportunity for CDL-A holders in the Tacoma area to join a western regional fleet. The company provides on-the-road training for new CDL holders, offers weekly pay during training, and guarantees a minimum check for the first three months of solo driving. The role involves driving dry van freight across states west of the Mississippi River, with approximately 2,000 miles driven per week. Drivers can expect to be home every two weeks, and weekend driving is a requirement. Dispatch is available for both day and night shifts.

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• Must be 21 years or older
• Completed 120+ hours at an accredited CDL school
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• Live within 200 miles of Troutdale, OR

Responsibilities

• Ride with an experienced driver trainer on real loads.
• Move into your own truck on full pay once your trainer signs off.
• Drive dry van freight across the western states, west of the Mississippi.
• Operate a commercial truck and ensure safe transportation of goods.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Manage delivery schedules and routes efficiently.
