About The Position

Fairfield is seeking CDL-A drivers to join their western regional fleet. This opportunity is ideal for new CDL holders looking to build a career, offering short runs typically no more than 2 days from home and comprehensive on-road training. Experienced drivers can also benefit from this fleet, with the option to skip training and move directly into their own truck. The job involves dry van freight across the 11 western states, with opportunities for more miles if desired. Drivers can expect to drive between 1,700 to 2,100 miles per week and will be home every 2 weeks.

Requirements

• Class A CDL.
• At least 21 years old.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years.
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• For new drivers: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school.
• For experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to run past the western states if you want more miles.

Responsibilities

• Drive dry van freight across the 11 western states.
• Complete runs typically no more than 2 days from home.
• Train with an experienced driver trainer on real loads.
• Operate your own truck once training is complete.
• Maintain an average of 1,700 to 2,100 miles per week.
• Be home every 2 weeks.
• Option to run past the western states for more miles.
