About The Position
Norfolk drivers can start with a regional fleet out of Virginia that trains new CDL holders on the road, with no New England or New York freight. This position involves dry van freight in 27 states, Colorado east, and drivers can expect to be home every 2 to 3 weeks. The job offers a structured training program for those with a CDL-A but no experience, and a direct path to solo driving for experienced drivers. Requirements
- Class A CDL
- 21 or older
- No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Live in the Richmond, VA hiring area
- CDL-A in hand, no experience: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school.
- Experienced drivers: 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
Responsibilities
- Ride with an experienced driver trainer on real loads during training.
- Move into your own truck on full pay once your trainer signs off.
- Drive dry van freight in 27 states, Colorado east.
- Complete 1,800 to 2,800 miles per week.
- Be home every 2 to 3 weeks.
- Accept $100 flat pay on short haul loads.
