About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL truck driver based in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This regional floater role delivers solo across all 48 states and handles commissary goods. Routes may use sleeper or day-cab tractors and 48- or 53-foot dry van, reefer, and flatbed trailers. The position involves touch freight and may require loading or unloading freight. Drivers use a manual pallet jack and lift gate. Ryder trucks are described as well-maintained, safe, and 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling available at more than 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Pay is $28 per hour, with a stated schedule of 60 hours per week and weekly pay. The posting advertises earnings of $2,100 or more per week, a $3,000 loyalty bonus paid at six months and one year, $50 per night out in per diem, and paid travel time at $28 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle checks, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle meeting one of these thresholds: 9 months within the past 3 years, 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
Have at least one year of flatbed experience within the last two years.

Responsibilities
