Truck Driver – Apprentice CDL Class A - Penske Logistics
About The Position
Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Apprentice Class A CDL Truck Drivers. You will drive late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all. Deliver palletized grocery freight throughout WA and OR. Light-touch freight to end of trailer with electric pallet jack, no hand unload. Home daily. The schedule is a 5-day work week (weekends required) with 2 consecutive days off each week. Dispatch window is between 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM. Average 55-hour work week. Penske offers on-the-job training to hone your existing skills as a Class A licensed driver. Requirements
- Must be a graduate of a Penske approved CDL School (CDL 160, Ivy Tech, Truck Drivers Institute, New England Tractor Trailer Training School), or a current or former member of the US Armed Forces
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- English language proficiency required (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))

Responsibilities
- Deliver palletized grocery freight throughout WA and OR
- Light-touch freight to end of trailer with electric pallet jack, no hand unload
- Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
- Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate in a safe manner
- Accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others
