Requirements

  • Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician or licensed Truck and Trailer Mechanic
  • Registered with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training
  • Prior work experience as a Technician on various types of equipment including tractors, trailers, chassis, converters, reefers; and/or mobile experience an asset
  • Valid driver’s license an asset
  • Able to use current technology to ensure vehicle safety and performance
  • Safety minded
  • Well-organized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team member
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Possess required tools

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite and offsite repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of equipment including tractors, trailers, chassis, converters, reefers
  • Inspect and diagnose issues quickly and repair immediate need items; ability to recognize additional maintenance and repair required
  • Conduct and sign off on annual safety inspections
  • Outline all parts used and input comments into the work order (complaint, cause and correction) regarding the repair into Maintenance software system
  • Participate in formal and informal training sessions
  • Perform other maintenance duties as required
