About The Position

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation (TRMF), a premier tourism operation and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking friendly and responsible Trolley Drivers for the summer season. The position operates from June through August and involves safely transporting passengers along designated routes while providing outstanding customer service.

Drivers spend most of the day operating the trolley in an outdoor setting, with frequent stops at designated pick-up and drop-off points. They may be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, and exhaust fumes. The role involves interaction with passengers and supporting their safety while boarding and exiting the trolley.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or C with Passenger Endorsement.
• Be 25 years of age or older.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Have a strong focus on vehicle control, passenger safety, and adherence to road rules.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, including communicating clearly, answering questions, and supporting a positive passenger experience.
• Be able to handle diverse situations, varying passenger behavior, and unpredictable traffic conditions.
• Be able to work outdoors and on a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in passenger transportation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a trolley vehicle along assigned routes in accordance with TRMF schedules and safety regulations.
• Interact courteously and professionally with passengers, answer questions, and assist as needed.
• Ensure passenger safety, including assisting with boarding and exiting the trolley.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report issues.
• Maintain clean and orderly vehicle interiors.
• Follow all traffic laws and TRMF policies.
