About The Position

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation (TRMF), a tourism operation and 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking friendly and responsible Trolley Drivers for the summer season, from June through August. The role transports passengers along designated routes while providing safe, courteous service in an outdoor setting. Drivers spend most of the day operating the trolley and work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Class B or C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement.
• Be at least 25 years old.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Demonstrate a strong focus on vehicle control, passenger safety, and road rules.
• Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Be able to handle diverse situations, varying passenger behavior, and unpredictable traffic conditions.
• Be able to work outdoors and on a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in passenger transportation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the trolley along assigned routes according to TRMF schedules and safety regulations.
• Interact courteously and professionally with passengers, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed.
• Support passenger safety, including assisting passengers with boarding and exiting.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report issues.
• Keep the vehicle interior clean and orderly.
• Follow traffic laws and TRMF policies.
