About The Position

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is hiring a utility tree trimmer for its on-site team in Lindsay, Oklahoma. The role performs tree pruning and removal services for major electric utility providers, using industry pruning guidelines and tree identification knowledge. Work includes climbing trees with DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems and safely operating and maintaining tools and equipment. The position is part of a crew working with ground crew members and a foreperson. Travel expectations are up to 25%.

Requirements

Love of the outdoors.
Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Commercial Driver's License—Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement.
Line clearance experience or other related tree work.
Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.
ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®.

Responsibilities

Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
Perform tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers.
Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
Work as an active crew member supporting the ground crew and foreperson.
