About The Position

LSI is seeking a skilled, safety-conscious Tree Climber to work outdoors in varied environments maintaining and improving tree health and safety. The role performs tree removal, pruning, trimming, and maintenance using climbing and rigging techniques, specialized equipment, and established safety and quality standards. The Tree Climber may also assist with land clearing, landscape maintenance, and lawn care; maintain equipment; and document work and communicate project status to team members.

Requirements

Familiarity with arborist rigging techniques, tree removal methods, and plant pruning care.
Proficiency with chainsaws, limb loaders, or other tree-care equipment.
Understanding of safety protocols for working at heights or with heavy machinery.

Nice To Haves

Prior outdoor work experience in arboriculture, landscaping, or horticulture.
Knowledge of GIS mapping or land surveying for site planning.
Experience operating bucket trucks or aerial lifts.
Experience in horticulture or dendrology to support assessment of tree health.
Background in landscape maintenance or lawn care.

Responsibilities

Climb trees using appropriate safety equipment, rigging, and climbing techniques to perform pruning, trimming, or removal operations.
Use arborist rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or entire trees during removal or pruning projects.
Perform tree removal, trimming, and pruning to promote healthy growth and safety.
Apply tree-care practices, including disease management and growth promotion.
Use chainsaws and other hand tools while following safety protocols.
Assist with land clearing, landscape maintenance, and lawn care as needed.
Follow safety procedures when working at heights or around heavy equipment.
Maintain bucket trucks, rigging gear, and hand tools in good condition.
Document work performed and communicate project status to team members.
