About The Position

Joshua Tree Experts is hiring an experienced Tree Climber to work with a 2- to 4-person tree crew in Charlotte. The role assists with tree removal, pruning, and preservation techniques and is important to the safe and effective operation of the crew. The Tree Climber helps ensure safe tree operations, maintains assigned equipment, communicates with crew members, and interacts professionally with clients and the public near job sites. The position requires availability to work at least 40 hours per week and offers full-time, year-round employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 4 years of tree climbing experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability to work at least 40 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

• Forestry or Horticulture degree.
• ISA Certified Arborist.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tree removal, tree pruning, and general tree preservation techniques.
• Ensure safe tree operations and follow the company safety culture.
• Communicate effectively with the crew leader and coworkers.
• Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer service.
• Delegate work to the Groundman Operations Specialist.
• Maintain the vehicle and assigned equipment.
• Understand and follow ANSI standards for Tree Care Operations.
• Communicate with clients and the public near the job site.
• Understand aerial lift operations.
