About The Position

Joshua Tree Experts is hiring an experienced Tree Climber to work with a 2- to 4-person tree crew in Houston. The role assists with tree removal, pruning, and tree preservation. Tree Climbers help ensure safe operations, maintain assigned equipment, communicate with crew members, and interact professionally with clients and the public near job sites. The position requires availability for at least 40 hours per week and offers full-time, year-round employment with benefits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 4 years of tree-climbing experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability to work at least 40 hours per week.
• Understanding of aerial lift operations.

Nice To Haves

• Forestry or Horticulture degree.
• ISA Certified Arborist.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tree removal, pruning, and general tree preservation.
• Help ensure safe tree operations and follow ANSI standards for Tree Care Operations.
• Communicate effectively with the crew leader and coworkers.
• Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer service.
• Delegate work to the Groundman Operations Specialist.
• Maintain the vehicle and assigned equipment.
• Understand and follow the company safety culture.
