About The Position

As a Tree Climber on the General Tree Care Team, you will help preserve and enhance the health of clients’ landscapes. The role involves working outdoors on client properties and performing climbing and pruning duties using safe and efficient techniques. It is physically active, with safety, teamwork, and attention to detail essential to success.

Requirements

• Desire to work outdoors in a physically active role.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
• Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in tree climbing without spurs, proper pruning techniques, identifying native and introduced tree and shrub species and understanding their characteristics, tree care safety standards, and chainsaw and equipment operation.
• Ability to climb trees, work at heights, and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a crew to provide tree care, including pruning, removals, and cable bracing.
• Safely operate climbing gear, chainsaws, and other equipment.
• Apply proper pruning techniques and tree care practices.
• Follow safety procedures at all times.
• Deliver excellent client service while maintaining professional standards.
