About The Position

SavATree’s General Tree Care Team works together to maintain and preserve the health of clients’ landscapes. Tree Climbers work outdoors at properties in their community, applying climbing, pruning, and safety expertise to support the health and well-being of trees and landscapes.

The role involves working on a General Tree Care crew across pruning, removals, cable bracing, and other tree-care tasks. Team members safely operate equipment, complete assigned work, and provide excellent client service. The position requires lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds while performing job duties.

Requirements

• Experience with proper pruning practices, including large shade trees and ornamental trees.
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species and working knowledge of their characteristics.
• Ability to climb without spurs.
• Experience with tree-care safety standards.
• Practical knowledge of chainsaw and equipment operation.
• Experience with aerial lifts (bucket trucks).
• Desire to work outdoors.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
