About The Position
As a Tree Climber with Joshua Tree Experts in Dallas, TX, you will work on a 2-to-4-person crew, assisting with tree removal, tree pruning, and general tree preservation techniques. You will help ensure safe operations, maintain assigned vehicles and equipment, and delegate work to Groundsman Operations Specialists. You will also serve as a key communicator for the crew, clients, and members of the public near the job site.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 4 years of tree climbing experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Understanding of aerial lift operations.
- Availability to work at least 40 hours per week.
Nice To Haves
- Degree in Forestry or Horticulture.
- ISA Certified Arborist.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong commitment to the company’s safety culture and follow ANSI standards for tree care operations.
- Execute safe aerial lift and tree climbing procedures.
- Delegate tasks effectively to Groundsman Operations Specialists.
- Follow directions from and communicate clearly with the crew leader and team members.
- Maintain, inspect, and care for assigned vehicles and tree care equipment.
- Maintain a professional image on the job site and deliver excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively with clients and nearby members of the public.
- Assist with tree removal, tree pruning, and general tree preservation techniques.
