About The Position
Joshua Tree Experts is hiring an Experienced Tree Climber in Atlanta, Georgia. The Tree Climber works on a two-to-four-person crew, assisting with tree removal, pruning, and general tree preservation. The role includes ensuring safe operations, maintaining assigned vehicles and equipment, delegating work to Groundsman Operations Specialists, and communicating with the crew, clients, and members of the public near job sites. The company emphasizes safety, professionalism, and work/life balance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 4 years of tree-climbing experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Understanding of aerial lift operations.
- Availability to work at least 40 hours per week.
Nice To Haves
- Degree in Forestry or Horticulture.
- ISA Certified Arborist.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong commitment to the company’s safety culture and follow ANSI standards for tree care operations.
- Carry out safe aerial lift and tree-climbing procedures.
- Delegate tasks effectively to Groundsman Operations Specialists.
- Follow directions from and communicate clearly with the crew leader and other team members.
- Maintain, inspect, and care for assigned vehicles and tree-care equipment.
- Maintain a professional image on job sites and provide excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively with clients and nearby members of the public.
- Assist with tree removal, pruning, and general tree preservation.
