About The Position

The RN Treatment Coordinator provides primary skin care to patients under the medical direction and supervision of their attending physicians, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. The role requires delivering nursing care, identifying and treating skin disorders and lesions, and coordinating patient treatment plans with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team. The coordinator also works with the nursing team to educate CNAs about proper positioning, training, and skin care.

Requirements

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
Currently licensed or registered in the applicable state; must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation; certification must remain current during employment.
Advanced knowledge in the field of practice.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Knowledge of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in a post-acute care facility.
Proficiency in competency areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies, harassment and compliance procedures, and Life Care’s Code of Conduct.
Ability to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.

Nice To Haves

Prior wound care experience preferred.
One year of geriatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver quality nursing care to patients knowledgeably and competently.
Identify, manage, and treat specific skin disorders and primary and secondary lesions.
Work with the nursing team to educate CNAs about proper positioning, training, and skin care.
Evaluate patients’ needs through ongoing assessment and revise treatment plans in coordination with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
Assist in the evacuation of patients.
Maintain dependable, regular attendance.
Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
Follow applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, company policies, and department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
Maintain professional working relationships with associates and vendors and protect confidential information.
Complete mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training.
