About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Traveling Technician (Facilities Maintenance) within their Baton Rouge, LA region. This role involves providing maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company owned heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts. The company aims to transform the construction industry through innovative technology and a dedicated team. Mechanics will have the opportunity to work on the newest equipment in the industry.

Requirements

• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand and power tools, schematics and diagrams.
• High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Active applicable state class driver's license.
• Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements.
• Construction knowledge and background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel and support branches within the assigned region by performing on-site facilities service, maintenance, and repairs.
• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.
• Use technology (laptops, tablets, and mobile phone) comfortably.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of rental and customer equipment (Mobile Offices, Restroom Trailers, Turnstyles) under the supervision of higher-tier technicians and while using a high degree of independent judgment.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
