About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Traveling Technician (Facilities Maintenance) that can be based out of Milwaukee, WI. This role involves general maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company-owned facilities, specifically Restroom Trailers and Tool Trailers. The position requires a significant amount of travel (70-85%) and utilizes company technology to manage work orders and track equipment. The technician will practice safe job practices, perform carpentry and plumbing repairs, and conduct installs and preventative maintenance on rental bathroom trailers. Maintaining electronic documentation of work performed is also a key responsibility. The role is safety sensitive and requires passing a drug screen, background check, and holding an active driver's license.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of plumbing, basic carpentry, and facility diagrams.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active applicable state class driver's license.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand and power tools, schematics and diagrams.
• Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with portable toilet facilities or modular buildings is a plus.
• Construction knowledge and background preferred.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA requirements (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Use company technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues.
• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment and maintaining facilities.
• Perform general carpentry tasks, including structural repairs to trailers, cabinetry adjustments, and door/hardware maintenance.
• Execute minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks, unclogging lines, and replacing fixtures within portable units and restroom trailers.
• Perform installs and preventative maintenance on a variety of rental bathroom trailers.
• Use technology (laptops, tablets, and mobile phone) comfortably to manage work orders.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner.
• Participate in year-round company-provided OEM training.
