Traveling Superintendent
About The Position
The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for the overall profitability of framing installation projects. The role trains, supervises, and directs framing installation crews; performs quality checks at jobsites; maintains production or installation records; plans installation work and apportions work among crews; oversees the maintenance of equipment and trucks; and provides for crew safety and security. The Traveling Superintendent also assists with estimates performed in the field and responds to common customer inquiries or complaints. Installation of framing may be required when needed.
Requirements
- Ability to use word processing software.
- Ability to use spreadsheet and internet software.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as policy and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and speak or present in front of a small group.
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
