About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Superintendent with strong expertise in structural steel construction to oversee multi-level commercial and industrial projects. The role involves traveling to various project locations and leading job-site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strict safety and quality standards. Salary is heavily dependent on experience.

Requirements

• Experience as a Superintendent, with a strong focus on structural steel projects; candidates at all experience levels may be considered.
• Proven track record leading multi-level and large-scale projects from start to finish.
• Deep understanding of steel erection, sequencing, inspections, and tolerances.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong safety background and ability to manage busy sites with multiple trades.
• Willingness to travel frequently to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations on structural steel-focused projects, ensuring schedule, safety, and quality compliance.
• Coordinate steel deliveries, sequencing, and erection to minimize downtime.
• Enforce site-wide safety standards across multiple subcontractors and trades.
• Manage field conflicts, mis-fabrications, and schedule delays while keeping projects on track.
• Conduct and coordinate inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Build and maintain strong subcontractor relationships while ensuring accountability.
• Report progress, issues, and updates to project managers and clients.
• Motivate crews to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Drive precise, high-quality installation on multi-level structural steel projects.
