About The Position

This role is responsible for supervising field construction, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and to high-quality standards. The Superintendent will oversee all trades and daily activities, coordinate with design professionals and clients, and direct subcontractors and personnel for safe and efficient project execution, all while adhering to the contract, budget, and schedule. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 5 years of project supervision experience in commercial, restaurant, retail, healthcare and/or industrial construction environments
• Extensive knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and safety procedures
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed

Nice To Haves

• Preferably 10 years of project supervision experience
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Procore

Responsibilities

• Supervise the field construction of projects, ensuring completion within schedule and to quality standards.
• Oversee all trades and daily project activities.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination with design professionals, consultants, and clients.
• Direct all subcontractors and construction personnel to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
• Adhere to the contract, budget, and schedule.
• Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor scopes of work.
• Execute project start-up tasks.
• Develop a comprehensive plan from inception to completion, including coordinating construction activities for scheduling.
• Advise the Project Manager of any significant impacts on the project schedule.
• Monitor job progress and costs, including Time and Material work, with the Project Team.
• Ensure daily job site progress reports and photos are completed accurately.
• Verify the accuracy of drawing plan measurements of floors, walls, ceilings, etc.
• Identify discrepancies and take corrective action with the project team.
• Establish effective working relationships with the Owner, Owner’s Rep, Building Manager, Building Engineer, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Chair weekly project construction meetings to discuss project progress and weekly work plans with subcontractors.
• Meet daily with subcontractors to ensure alignment on schedule and tasks.
• Ensure the site is clean, organized, and meets all safety standards.
• Continually enforce safety policies and procedures, including PPE and fall enforcement.
• Actively enforce building regulations related to noise, elevator use, security, and tenant safety.
• Maintain construction barriers for security, construction, dust, etc.
