About The Position

Lumio Dental is a dental partnership organization dedicated to preserving the integrity of private practice and serving patients across Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. The Traveling Orthodontic Dental Assistant works shoulder-to-shoulder with doctors and provides chairside care for patients. Lumio welcomes both experienced dental assistants and new students seeking their first opportunity. The role includes orthodontic-related and general dental assisting duties.

Requirements

• Orthodontic experience.

Responsibilities

• Expose dental diagnostic X-rays.
• Record treatment information in patient records.
• Take and record patients’ medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Clean teeth using dental instruments, including cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
• Apply protective fluoride coatings to teeth.
• Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
• Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
• Provide chairside care alongside doctors.
