About The Position

PDS Optical is hiring a Traveling Optician based out of the North Jacksonville, Florida VA Medical Center. The role involves travel throughout the United States and U.S. territories, with anticipated travel of 80% or more. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Optician provides eyewear services to Veterans in a professional VA medical environment and must maintain compliance with VA security and background requirements.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Florida Optician's License.
• Reliable transportation.
• Self-motivation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with lensometers, pupilometers, and optical software.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and a service-driven approach.
