About The Position

PDS Optical is seeking a Traveling Optician based out of the Jacksonville, Florida VA Medical Center. The role involves travel anywhere in the United States and U.S. territories, with anticipated travel of 80% or more. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in a professional VA medical environment. The position serves Veterans by providing eyewear and compassionate optical care.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Florida Optician's License.
• Reliable transportation.
• Self-motivated.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with lensometers, pupilometers, and optical software.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and service-driven.
