About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech in Burlington, VT, with a start date of 09/07/2026 and a duration of 13 weeks. The role involves performing ultrasound examinations in a large teaching hospital environment with multiple on-campus sites. The position requires working four 10-hour night shifts from Sunday to Wednesday, with potential for weekend coverage on an as-needed basis. Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays.

Requirements

ARDMS certification in abdomen, gynecology, and vascular; BLS certification
Ultrasound Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency) acceptable
Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
Experience in a breast care center and performing breast biopsies
Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
Public transportation is not available in the area; reliable transportation required; vehicles should have all-season or snow tires (Nov–Apr)
Ability to work Sun–Wed schedule with four 10-hour night shifts; weekends as needed

Responsibilities

Perform ultrasound examinations across abdomen, gynecology, vascular, and breast-related studies as clinically indicated
Optimize imaging parameters, ensure proper patient positioning, document findings, and maintain high image quality
Assist with breast biopsy procedures and related ultrasound-guided techniques as trained
Adhere to established protocols and patient safety standards; follow infection control procedures
Document exams and results accurately in the EMR (Epic) and communicate findings to the care team
Provide efficient patient care during the scheduled night shift and participate in on-call or weekend coverage as required
