About The Position
This is a 12-week travel assignment for a Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech in Zanesville, Ohio. The role is clinic-based and involves performing ultrasound examinations. There are potential opportunities for extension beyond the initial 12 weeks. The position offers guaranteed hours and a night shift schedule.
Requirements
- Active RDMS certification with OB/GYN and Abdominal designations
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Epic EMR experience
- Prior ultrasound imaging experience required; new graduates will not be considered
- Ability to work night shift (3x12-hour shifts) and to adapt to a high-volume workflow
- Eligibility to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations including OB/GYN and abdominal imaging, following established protocols and patient care guidelines.
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, verify identities, and ensure comfort and safety during scanning.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, adjust machine settings, select appropriate transducers, and optimize image quality.
- Document findings in the Epic EMR and communicate results to physicians or radiologists per department protocol.
- Maintain organized image acquisition, ensure proper patient positioning, and adhere to infection control and safety standards.
- Participate in cross-location coverage as needed within the local area (occasional float to nearby clinics), with no on-call requirement.
