About The Position
A leading regional healthcare provider is seeking a Travel RN for its general medical unit in Waterloo, Iowa. The nurse will implement and monitor patient care plans and coordinate care with the healthcare team. This is a 90-day onsite contract assignment with a possible extension. The schedule is three night shifts per week, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, totaling 36 hours per week. An immediate start is anticipated. Unit policies and systems orientation will be provided.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent RN experience in telemetry or medical/surgical nursing.
- Active RN license valid in Iowa; confirmed during screening.
- Strong assessment and time management skills.
- Availability to work three night shifts per week, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
Nice To Haves
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Telemetry experience.
- Experience with Epic or a similar charting system.
- Travel or contract assignment experience.
- Strong references from recent nurse managers.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
