About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. FirstChoice RNs fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, including regional and nationwide opportunities. This position is at MercyOne DeWitt Medical Center in Iowa, with a 13-week assignment, a 3x12-hour night schedule, and a gross weekly rate of $2,664. The start date is listed as ASAP. The nurse may be required to float throughout the hospital, multiple hospital locations, or regions. The RN applies professional nursing practice standards, works independently within their license and experience, remains accountable for decisions and delegated care, collaborates on quality improvement, and adapts to new responsibilities and changing priorities.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
Have at least two years of recent clinical experience for Emergency Department and other listed specialties outside Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
Obtain and maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital, multiple hospital locations, and/or regions as needed.
Apply the standard elements of professional practice: assessment, outcome identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Practice independently and appropriately within the limits of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
Adapt to new and additional responsibilities.
Embrace new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.
