About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology Infusion, located in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting October 19, 2026. The role involves working in outpatient infusion services within a rural, hospital-based oncology/infusion program. The position offers a weekly pay range of $2,237 to $2,396 with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The shift is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with occasional Friday coverage.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (Colorado)
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience
- Current Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
- ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification
- AHA BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and other infusion medications as ordered
- Perform IV starts, port access, and central line care
- Operate infusion pumps and monitor infusion therapy; assess patient status
- Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and symptom management
- Document all care in Cerner EMR; monitor vital signs and treatment responses
- Coordinate care with oncology providers and the infusion clinic team; assist with preparation, chart review, and treatment verification
