About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse, First Assist position in Bethel, Alaska, United States. The assignment is for 13 weeks with 32 guaranteed hours per week, starting on 09/29/2026. The work setting is an acute-care on-site patient care environment, and the shift is days. The weekly pay range is $2,237 - $2,313 per week.

Requirements

Active Alaska Registered Nurse license in good standing.
Graduation from an NLN-approved nursing program.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Proficient in applying the nursing process, administering medications, interpreting diagnostics, and educating patients/families.
Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination may be required for on-site travel assignments.

Responsibilities

Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients according to established standards; collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes.
Administer treatments and medications, interpret diagnostic tests, and provide patient/family education.
Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in rendering care; support patient and family needs across the lifespan.
Serve as a resource person; supervise unit secretaries and PCTs in collaboration with the Charge Nurse when applicable.
Maintain competence in current nursing practice and comply with Alaska RN practice requirements.
