About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in an Adolescent Behavioral Health Inpatient unit within a hospital setting in Concord, NH. The assignment starts October 5, 2026, and runs for 14 weeks. The role involves providing direct patient care to adolescent inpatients with behavioral health needs, administering medications, monitoring patients, conducting assessments, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring accurate documentation. The position requires an active NH or Compact state RN license, BLS and CPI or MOAB certifications, and at least 2 years of experience in adolescent behavioral health inpatient specialty, with documented travel experience.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to adolescent inpatients with behavioral health needs, following the plan of care and unit protocols.
  • Administer medications and monitor responses; document in the electronic health record; monitor vital signs and safety.
  • Conduct regular patient assessments; update care plans; respond to crises and participate in de-escalation as needed.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (psychiatry, psychology, social work, therapy, and nursing) to coordinate treatment and discharge planning.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu; enforce unit procedures, therapeutic boundaries, and patient rights; participate in rounds and handoffs.
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation; comply with regulatory and hospital standards; provide patient and family education as appropriate.
