About The Position

Occupational Therapist (General) needed for a travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. This is a 13-week engagement in a short-term acute care hospital setting. The role requires active OT practice in an inpatient acute care environment. Requirements

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD)
Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice (California) required
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor required
At least one year of inpatient/acute care OT experience
Epic EMR experience required
Ability to work in an inpatient acute care setting
Weekend rotation required
Vaccinations as required by organizational policy; medical and religious exemptions may apply

Nice To Haves

Two years of OT experience preferred

Responsibilities

Perform occupational therapy evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans to restore and improve physical, social, and cognitive functions
Deliver OT interventions using standard protocols; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
Co-lead interdisciplinary patient groups and participate in care coordination with other disciplines
Create and communicate individualized care and discharge plans; ensure documentation is accurate and timely
Supervise assigned OT assistants and document supervision as required
Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation in the designated electronic health record
