About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a travel contract opportunity in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting in Elkins, WV. This role requires a compassionate and dependable nurse capable of delivering high-quality patient care during overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in fast-paced long-term care environments.
Requirements
- Active LPN License required
- Strong medication administration and patient assessment skills
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in long-term care and rehabilitation settings
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor resident conditions and report changes promptly
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge processes
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and charting
- Support resident safety, comfort, and infection prevention standards
- Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations during overnight shifts
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations
