About The Position

LV Petroleum is seeking an experienced leader to manage the overall operations of a travel center. This hands-on leadership position oversees retail, fuel, and food-service operations, develops the team, and maintains high standards for service and performance. The manager is responsible for the site’s cleanliness, safety, customer experience, regulatory compliance, inventory controls, vendor relationships, and financial results. The role requires working 50 or more hours per week as scheduled and being on call for store needs.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with a proven track record in truck-stop and QSR operations.
• Working knowledge of Restaurant Management Systems.
• Ability to work as scheduled for 50 or more hours per week.
• Ability to be on call for store needs as they arise.
• Ability to perform non-management activities when needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day retail, fuel, and food-service operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company standards for cleanliness, safety, and customer experience.
• Maintain the overall site image, including the lot, pumps, restrooms, and showers.
• Lead, hire, train, and develop managers and hourly staff, fostering accountability, engagement, and low turnover.
• Work alongside the team, set expectations, and lead by example.
• Manage site financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring food costs, labor costs, shrink, waste, and fuel and merchandise margins.
• Make real-time adjustments to meet or exceed profitability goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety, fuel compliance, and age-restricted sales.
• Oversee inventory controls, conduct audits, and manage vendor relationships to support accurate deliveries, appropriate stock levels, and efficient operations.
• Communicate with the team about goals, performance expectations, safety, and site success, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Perform non-management activities when needed.
