About The Position

LV Petroleum is seeking an experienced leader to manage a travel center in Ivor, Virginia. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for daily operations, team development, and maintaining high standards of service and performance. The Store Manager oversees retail, fuel, and food service operations and helps ensure the site meets company standards for cleanliness, safety, and customer experience.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with a proven track record in truck-stop and quick-service restaurant (QSR) operations.
• Working knowledge of Restaurant Management Systems.
• Ability to work as scheduled for 50 or more hours per week.
• Ability to be on call for store needs as they arise.
• Ability to perform non-management activities when needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily travel center operations, including retail, fuel, and food service.
• Maintain the site’s overall appearance, including the lot, pumps, restrooms, and showers.
• Hire, train, and develop managers and hourly employees while fostering accountability, engagement, and employee retention.
• Work alongside the team, set expectations, and lead by example.
• Manage site financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, food and labor costs, shrink, waste, and fuel and merchandise margins.
• Make operational adjustments to meet or exceed profitability goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety, fuel compliance, and age-restricted sales.
• Oversee inventory controls, conduct audits, and manage vendor relationships to support accurate deliveries, appropriate stock levels, and efficient operations.
• Communicate with the team about goals, performance expectations, safety, and site success, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work at least 50 hours per week as scheduled and be on call for store needs as they arise.
• Perform non-management activities when needed.
