About The Position

St. Francis Medical Center is a leading comprehensive healthcare institution in Los Angeles, providing vital healthcare services to the community. It is recognized for its full range of diagnostic and treatment services in various specialties, including Emergency and Trauma Care. St. Francis is a Comprehensive Stroke Center, STEMI Receiving Center, ED Approved for Pediatrics, Geriatric ED, Level III Neonatal ICU, and Level II Trauma Center. The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator will join an award-winning team committed to compassion, quality, and service.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state Registered Nurse License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current TNCC certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years trauma experience.
  • Trauma registration certification within three (3) years of hire (CSTR or CAISS).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Trauma Accreditation Process (ACS) preferred.
  • Previous experience with Quality Improvement Process preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and facilitation of the multidisciplinary trauma performance improvement program.
  • Data collection, analysis, trending, and benchmarking of data and outcomes.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
  • Meeting Los Angeles County and American College of Surgeons standards.
  • Complying with all state and federal regulations.
  • Complying with corporate hospital policies and procedures.
  • Managing patient information.
  • Promoting teamwork and positive customer service.
