This position is responsible for the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of community injury prevention and patient safety education programs. The coordinator will track program participation, outcomes, and compliance metrics while serving as a resource for injury prevention initiatives across the organization and community. In addition, the individual will receive training in trauma registry operations and assist with trauma data management and registry-related activities. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the care of trauma patients and the coordination of performance improvement and patient safety programs for the trauma center in conjunction with the trauma medical director (from state regulations). Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary trauma team, functioning as a patient advocate, educator, key point of contact and liaison between the patient and all other appropriate services.
