About The Position

The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator is an experienced Trauma Registered Nurse who helps promote performance improvement at Doctors Medical Center. The role combines advanced clinical practice, quality improvement, and education for hospital and pre-hospital employees, with a primary focus on the Performance Improvement process. The coordinator performs duties as directed and works collaboratively with the Trauma Program Manager.

Requirements

• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• Current ACLS; TNCC must be obtained within one year of hire.
• At least four years of current experience in the specialty, including critical care or emergency nursing experience in a Base Station/Trauma Center.
• Knowledge of performance improvement processes and implementation of PI/QA.
• Pre-hospital experience.
• Experience performing performance improvement for a trauma program.
• Strong organizational skills and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to write routine reports, design forms, retrieve data, and speak effectively with management and staff.
• Required professional license, certification, or registration as applicable under law, regulation, or policy.
• AHA BLS; AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP if applicable under corporate policy for the unit of hire.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Previous teaching experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
