The Trauma Performance Improvement (TPI) Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (TPIPS) plan. This person identifies events and implements subsequent performance improvement plans that are the cornerstones of continuous TPIPS. The TPI coordinator works in collaboration with other departments to develop problem resolution, improve outcomes and assure patient safety by coordinating and facilitating performance improvement (PI) including data collection, analysis, trending, and benchmarking of data to improve patient care outcomes. In addition, this role also assists in community outreach, injury prevention and educational activities based on collected trauma center data. This role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on performance improvement initiatives involving trauma.
