Transporter
About The Position
Under minimum supervision, the Transporter transfers patients from beds, gurneys, wheelchairs, and/or tables and transports them safely throughout the medical center. The role also assists Imaging Services technologists with room setup, obtaining and restocking supplies, completing department logs, and positioning patients for various imaging modalities. The position supports the mission, core values, strategic plan, goals, and performance improvement plan of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC. The employee is expected to support organizational expectations, including customer service, patient rights, confidentiality of information, environment of care, and AHMC initiatives. Excellent verbal communication, customer service, and safe body mechanics are required to reduce the risk of injury to the employee and patients.
Requirements
- Must be able to effectively speak, read, and write in English.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Use good body mechanics to minimize risk of injury to self and patients.
Nice To Haves
- One year of general patient care experience.
- Emergency Medical Technician certificate.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.
