About The Position

Transports patients throughout the hospital for diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural services, and assists with patient care duties as delegated by a registered nurse. Safely transports patients and other necessary items between patient rooms and ancillary departments. Provides timely delivery of miscellaneous items while maintaining a high standard of customer service to support efficient workflow and continuity of care throughout the hospital.

Requirements

• No experience required.
• No supervisor experience required.
• No licenses or certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients throughout the hospital, including assisting with incoming helicopter transports and transporting deceased patients to the morgue.
• Responds to code blue situations and initiates chest compressions.
• Responds to patient falls and other emergent situations.
• Completes assigned tasks within department expectations.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
