About The Position

The Transporter works in the Imaging department at Resurrection Medical Center and transports patients to and from the department. The role also supports departmental operations through darkroom duties, ordering and stocking supplies, dressing patients, and front-office tasks. It provides clerical support, including answering telephones, greeting patients and visitors, preparing outpatient requisitions, filing patient reports, and retrieving patient records for physicians or Medical Records. The Transporter uses telephones, computers, office equipment, and PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System), and runs errands throughout the facility. The role requires knowledge of common terminology for tests ordered in the department and polite, friendly interactions with patients and visitors.

Requirements

Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current certification throughout employment.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Transportation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport patients to and from the department.
