About The Position

Highland Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Transporter. The position works Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Patient Transporter moves patients between clinical, ancillary, and support department areas as directed, assists with patient transfers, delivers items to appropriate destinations, and maintains transport logs while following safety regulations.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or as an escort when ambulatory to and from clinical, ancillary, and support department areas as directed by the PTR; appropriately close tasks and observe safety regulations.
• Assist clinical personnel with transferring patients to or from beds or chairs and wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Pick up specimens, cultures, orders, and requisitions and deliver them to the appropriate destination.
• Maintain an accurate log of all transports.
