About The Position

Highland Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Transporter. The position works Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Patient Transporter moves patients between clinical, ancillary, and support department areas and delivers specimens and other items as directed, while following safety regulations and maintaining accurate transport logs.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher, or escort ambulatory patients, between clinical, ancillary, and support department areas as directed by the PTR; appropriately close tasks and observe safety regulations.
• Assist clinical personnel with transferring patients to or from beds, chairs, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
• Pick up and deliver specimens, cultures, orders, and requisitions to the appropriate destinations.
• Maintain an accurate log of all transports.
