Transportation Technician I
About The Position
Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is a 100% employee-owned multidisciplinary consulting firm. Its Construction Management Team is hiring a Transportation Technician I to apply standard inspection procedures to ongoing transportation construction activities in North Carolina, during and after construction, to assess quality, safety, and conformance with plans and specifications. Statewide opportunities are available, with the specific location to be discussed with the hiring manager during an interview. Immigration sponsorship or support is unavailable except for qualified candidates eligible for TN visa classification.
Responsibilities
- Inspect contractor operations on roadway and bridge construction projects to verify conformance with plans and specifications.
- Perform routine material testing.
- Measure and track quantities of pay items.
- Gather and maintain records, including material certifications, testing reports, and inspectors’ daily diaries.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
