JMT’s Construction Management Team is hiring a Transportation Technician I to perform standard inspection procedures on transportation construction activities in North Carolina. The work focuses on quality, safety, and conformance to plans and specifications during and after construction. Opportunities are available statewide, and the specific location can be discussed with the hiring manager during an interview. Immigration sponsorship or support is unavailable except for qualified candidates eligible for TN visa classification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect contractor operations on roadway, bridge, and other transportation projects to verify conformance to plans and specifications.
• Perform routine material testing.
• Measure and track quantities of pay items.
• Gather and maintain record documents, including material certifications, testing reports, and inspectors’ daily diaries.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
