The Agency of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Operations Technician II. This position is located in District 7's Lyndonville garage and is responsible for various tasks related to highway maintenance, such as repairing guardrails, cutting trees/brush, patching roads, picking litter, ditching, and more. In the winter months, this position will also assist with plowing and salting, and overtime may be required. These entry-level positions offer excellent benefits, opportunities for career development, and a CDL training program. A minimum of a Class B is required prior to the completion of an employee's 6-month probationary period. This position is eligible for a sign-on and retention bonus of up to $2000! Newly hired CDL and non-CDL holders who are hired into permanent maintenance worker or mechanic job on or after July 13, 2025 are eligible.
