TRANSPORTATION OFFICER
About The Position
Rite of Passage is hiring a Transportation Officer at the Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas. AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth. The Transportation Officer primarily transports students to and from the site for off-site appointments while supporting student and staff safety, health, and welfare through consistent, controlled supervision. While transporting, the officer follows all site safe-driving policies and procedures and provides encouragement, guidance, and resources to staff and students when needed. The role is scheduled five days on and two days off, with A Shift running Tuesday through Saturday, 12 PM to 8 PM. Pay is $17.75–$18.82 per hour, based on education and experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical, and TB test.
- Must pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
- Must meet the requirements to become an ROP-eligible driver, including having a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from the site for off-site appointments.
- Provide for student and staff safety, health, and welfare through consistent, controlled supervision of students.
- Observe and follow site safe-driving policies and procedures while transporting students.
- Provide encouragement, guidance, and resources to staff and students when needed.
